Glyphosate: 41 groups tell EU Commission to end use of unreliable industry studies
GMWATCH, October 13, 2021
Only two out of 38 glyphosate genotoxicity studies submitted by industry were found reliable
Forty-one civil society organisations, including GMWatch and several of the organisers of the successful European Citizens’ Initiative #StopGlyphosate, are urging EU Health Commissioner Stella Kyriakides to guarantee that the ongoing assessment of glyphosate is based on updated independent scientific evidence and remains free from vested interests.
In an open letter published today, the groups express their concerns about the current renewal assessment procedure of glyphosate following the preliminary conclusions by four EU member states that the substance has no harmful effects on human and animal health, or any unacceptable effects on the environment.
The organisations express specific concerns about the credibility of the studies that have been provided by industry applicants to support the renewal of the European authorization of the pesticide, the current approval of which expires on 15 December 2022.

Augason Farms released the following letter to customers and suppliers.
They are literally out of business until the end of the year because they can’t get supplies. If a company with resources like that can’t get supplies, what do you think is going to happen to the rest of us?

The Lancet Gives Up On COVID-19 Origins
by Jim Geraghty, September 27, 2021
Apparently, Investigating the Origins of COVID-19 Is Just Too Hard for Scientific Journals
Back in June 2020, the medical journal The Lancet formed a commission to investigate and offer guidance on all aspects of the COVID-19 pandemic, including a pledge to create a task force focusing on "the nature, origin, and prevention of zoonotic diseases." The Lancet named Dr. Jeffrey D. Sachs of Columbia University, one of the world’s most celebrated experts on international development and an adviser to the United Nations, as chairman of the commission.
By November 2020, the commission had formed the task force on COVID-19’s origins and selected Dr. Peter Daszak, the president of EcoHealth Alliance, to chair it. You didn’t have to be a wide-eyed conspiracy theorist to find a problem with a man who had extensive financial ties to the Wuhan Institute of Virology being the one in charge of investigating whether a global pandemic started from an accident at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Daszak is the favorite American COVID-19 expert of Chinese-state-run media. What’s more, in an interview with the state-run Global Times in February 2021, Daszak echoed the supremely implausible claim of the Chinese government that SARS-CoV-2 originated in another country and was somehow imported into Wuhan. Daszak stated that EcoHealth Alliance was focusing its own investigation into the origins of COVID-19 by examining similar viruses in Thailand, Japan, and Cambodia. After being the only American whom the Chinese government would allow to visit Wuhan as part of the World Health Organization team, Daszak said in a March interview with CBS News’ Leslie Stahl that, "It wasn’t our task to find out if China had covered up the origin issue." Daszak said he took his Chinese colleagues at their word that there was no reason to suspect a lab leak.
What Every Parent Must Know About Pfizer
by Michelle Malkin, September 28, 2021
The CEO of Pfizer (market cap: $240.5 billion) is Albert Bourla (2020 compensation package: $21 million). Bourla and his colleagues want your kids to start getting jabbed with his company's COVID-19 vaccine by Thanksgiving. Triumphant after the Biden administration last week approved Pfizer's COVID-19 booster shots (estimated global sales: $26 billion), the company is touting study results (preliminary and non-peer-reviewed), which purportedly show "robust" antibody response and "favorable" safety outcomes for children ages 5-11 who received a two-dose combo in clinical trials.
Now, here are some facts all moms and dads must know about Pfizer before they allow their young daughters and sons to be guinea pigs of a profit-maximizing multinational corporation.
Exclusive NYC Vegan Restaurant Has A ‘Secret Meat Room’ For Wealthy Customers
by Emily Zanotti, October 1, 2021
A brutal New York Times review of Eleven Madison Park, the ultra-exclusive, three Michelin-starred New York City restaurant, revealed that the tony dining spot, which serves an all-vegan menu, has a "secret meat room" where customers willing to shell out for a private meal get a beef tenderloin instead of the "eggplant canoe" served to regular customers.
The critical unstarred review, which labeled the restaurant’s pricey vegan menu "the plant world’s uncanny valley," and admitted that the celebrity head chef/owner, Daniel Humm, is doing just "strange things" with vegetables that don’t always succeed, also inadvertently revealed the restaurant’s dirty secret: it’s not entirely vegan, despite the chef’s commitment to plant-based food because the "current food system is simply not sustainable, in so many ways."
